Jane & Brian YagerJane & Brian Yager grew up in Montreal. During a three-week visit to Newfoundland in 2002 they bought a home in Ferryland. In 2013 they started a small farm there, which has fed their passion for growing great food and meeting people from across the province. They grow in soil created with locally available amendments of kelp, peat, hen's manure and fish offal. Their farming techniques are free of herbicides and pesticides. The Natural Gardener Inc can be found on Sunny Hill Road in Ferryland. Brian uses water composting to create his natural Seaweed Booster concentrate, which he markets through local outlets.
