Fall and Summer leaf lettuces are being trialed across Ontario this year through the Farmer-Led Research Program, and  gardeners, farmers and seed savers across Canada are growing out lettuce seed for Seeds of Diversity Canada’s Seed Library. The diverse plants that make up the lettuce crop family present lots of challenges and rewards, especially when it comes to growing lettuce in the summer heat, and when saving and cleaning those tiny, light-as-air seeds. Tune into this 1-hour webinar to hear all about aspects of on-farm variety trialing, selecting, isolating, and cleaning lettuce. This webinar was hosted in partnership with Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario.
